The sight of a breaching humpback whale is sure to leave a "Wow" on your lips. These majestic creatures can be over 70 feet long and weigh 65 tons! The estimated population in the northwest Atlantic is about 4,000 to 5,000 humpbacks, and growing. And many of them pass close to Bay Bulls during the summer months as they pursue the massive schools of tiny fish called capelin.
